Terms

Terms of service

Effective 20 September 2026

1. About these terms

These terms apply to the website instrumenterror.com and to the Instrument Error app. Both belong to the Instrument Error YouTube channel and are run by Charbel Aoun (“we”, “us”). By using this website or the app, you agree to these terms.

Our privacy policy explains what the website and the app collect and how that data is handled.

2. YouTube

The Instrument Error app uses YouTube API Services. By using the Instrument Error app, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service at https://www.youtube.com/t/terms.

Our videos are published on YouTube, so watching them there is also governed by the YouTube Terms of Service. How Google handles data is described in the Google Privacy Policy (http://www.google.com/policies/privacy).

3. The Instrument Error app

The app is the channel's own production tool. It runs on our own computer, it is used only by us, and it is not offered to the public, so nobody else signs in to it. What it reads and stores, and how its access is revoked, is set out in our privacy policy.

4. Educational, not medical advice

Our videos and this website are educational. They are not medical advice, and they do not replace advice from a qualified health professional about your own situation.

5. Evidence and sources

Every claim in our videos is checked against open-access, peer-reviewed sources and graded by the strength of its evidence, and the sources are listed in each video's description. Research moves on, and a video reflects the evidence available when it was made. If you think we have got something wrong, tell us at charbelaoun2004@gmail.com.

6. AI-generated material

The narration in our videos is AI-generated, and so are their abstract backgrounds; the typography and diagrams are original. Every video description discloses the AI narration, and each video carries YouTube's AI-use label.

We link to YouTube and to research published by others. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

8. Our content

The text and design of this website are protected by copyright. Research, trademarks and other material that we link to or mention belong to their owners. YouTube is a trademark of Google LLC.

9. No warranty

We provide this website and our videos as they are. To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that they are complete, accurate, up to date or always available.

10. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this website or our videos. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right or remedy that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, and we will update them before the app requests any new YouTube permission, such as uploading videos. The effective date at the top of this page shows when they last changed.
